Doosan leads the world in desalination capacity with a 40% global market share. Doosan engineers are experts in all three types of desalination – Multi Stage Flash (MSF), Multi-Effect Distillation (MED) and Reverse Osmosis (RO). In fact, in 2005 Doosan led the world in total MSF and MED contracted plant capacity with over 1,400,000 cubic meters per day. Doosan designed and built the first Hybrid MSF/RO desalination plant in the world demonstrating our innovation and continuous drive to provide more efficient processes.
Doosan Hydro Technology was established through acquisition of a highly experienced water treatment equipment manufacturer having over twenty years of experience in engineering and manufacturing Reverse Osmosis systems. Doosan Hydro Technology has an impressive portfolio of successful water, wastewater and reverse osmosis projects for municipal and industrial clients. We provide all pre-treatment systems ranging from conventional filtration to micro and ultrafiltration systems to improve RO system operation and longevity.
Few contractors have the expertise and in-house manufacturing capabilities to supply and commission such advanced systems. Of those contractors, fewer still have the financial strength to provide turnkey or EPC services for complex water and wastewater treatment plants, but Doosan does.
