Bios of Principals
Robert Randall – President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Mr. Robert Randall has broad experience managing diverse divisions and operations in water and wastewater, transportation, ports and harbors, marine, site infrastructure, hazardous waste and vertical construction. Mr. Randall has been instrumental in guiding the recent development and growth of Doosan Hydro Technology as a global provider of membrane technology solutions. He will continue to implement new domestic and global strategies to better serve clients and nurture long-term relationships with business partners. Prior to joining Doosan Hydro Technology, Mr. Randall was the Regional Operations Manager for Parsons Water & Infrastructure, where he had operational responsibility for the east coast of the US and the Caribbean. Mr. Randall is a significant asset to the Doosan Hydro Technology Executive Team and Doosan is confident that he will continue to successfully lead the company’s strategic operations. He is a member of American Water Works Association (AWWA), International Desalination Association (IDA), Design Build Institute of America (DBIA), and Caribbean Desalination Association (CaribDA).
Dam Joo Ryu – Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Dam Joo Ryu has extensive experience in the corporate finance area including finance, accounting, and business analysis. He holds a B.A. in History from Yonsei University in Korea, and received his C.F.A designation by the C.F.A (Chartered Financial Analyst) Institute of the US. He started his career at Doosan Heavy Industries and Construction Co., Ltd in 1995 where he coordinated several export finance programs from the Korean Export Credit Agency, and also participated in several task force teams.
Christopher L. Claessen – Senior Vice President of Engineering
Mr. Christopher Claessen currently oversees the engineering aspects of desalination and other membrane treatment systems including coordination of turnkey project implementation for Doosan Hydro Technology. He previously held the position of Vice President of Operations and Contracts Manager for American Engineering Services (AES) of Tampa. In that position he was responsible for project engineering, project management and the commissioning and field support for desalination, brackish water and wastewater treatment projects. Mr. Claessen also held the position of Vice President at Exstar International Corporation, a membrane system supplier, and was a Chief Engineer with Maryland Environmental Systems. Mr. Claessen holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Loughborough University of Technology, England. He is a member of American Water Works Association (AWWA), International Desalination Association (IDA) and Caribbean Desalination Association (CaribDA).
Jorge T. Aguinaldo – Vice President of Process Engineering
Mr. Jorge Aguinaldo is a highly skilled engineer with experience and expertise in water and wastewater treatment processes, and chemical water treatment. Mr. Aguinaldo has over 35 years of engineering experience in process, equipment and system design for pre-treatment processes for RO desalination and membrane treatment, zero liquid discharge (ZLD), wastewater reclamation and re-use, integrated chemical precipitation-ultrafiltration process, biological treatment processes, research and development, sales and marketing, and pilot and prototype projects. Mr. Aguinaldo was the Vice President of Sales & Marketing for American Engineering Services, Inc. (AES) and Vice President for American Water Chemicals, Inc. He worked for AES for 13 years handling system designs, proposal management and development and the selection of new products and processes. Mr. Aguinaldo held the position of Projects Manager and Senior Project Engineer for Metito Arabia Industries, Ltd., Saudi Arabia and Metito Engineering, Ltd., Cyprus. While working with Alpha Machinery & Engineering Corporation, he was the Project Engineer/Manager in USAID, IBRD, and World Bank funded water and wastewater treatment projects in Asia. Earlier in his career, he was involved in the research and development of alcohol distillery wastewater treatment and utilization. He has authored several academic and technical articles and holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Adamson University, Manila, Philippines, a M.S. in Environmental Engineering from University of South Florida, Tampa, Florida; attended California State University, Sacramento, California and M.B.A. studies from De La Salle University, Manila, Philippines, and participated and trained several courses/certification classes in wastewater and desalination. He is a senior member of the Instrumentation Society of America (ISA), Senior Member of American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), a member of the American Water Works Association (AWWA) and AWWA Committees on Membrane Treatment and Wastewater Re-Use, a member of Water Environment Federation (WEF) and WEF committee on Water Re-use, as well as being a long time member of numerous desalination organizations. Other affiliations include membership in American Chemical Society (ACS), International Desalination Association (IDA), Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering, and Society of Industrial Microbiology.
Young Chul Choi – Acting Director of Research & Development
Dr. Young Chul Choi attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he received his PhD. He also holds a B.S. and an M.S. degree from Seoul National University; all in Environmental Engineering. Previously, Dr. Choi held the position as Research Scientist for Doosan Hydro Technology and worked on numerous initiatives from pilot studies and biofouling reduction research to membrane performance testing and system issues. Dr. Choi's new position as Acting Director of Research & Development will lead the Division in identifying the research needs for Doosan Hydro Technology and establishing research projects in coordination with the management. Dr. Choi is a member of American Water Works Association (AWWA), Water Environment Federation (WEF), European Desalination Society (EDS), and International Desalination Association (IDA).
Philip A. Stafford – Controller
Mr. Philip Stafford has over 22 years of International experience as a successful Financial Leader. His focus is on improving internal systems to provide the company with up-to-date accurate information as efficiently as possible. This enables Doosan Hydro Technology's Project Managers to have the best information to ensure that the customers' expectations are exceeded. Mr. Stafford is a keen advocate of the use of Information Technology, Six Sigma and Lean Improvement, driving to reduce internal costs to ensure that Doosan Hydro Technology is competitive in its pricing. Previously, Mr. Stafford held senior financial positions at ITT Corp and Invensys Plc, as well several years as an auditor with KPMG. Mr. Stafford is qualified accountant and a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
Kelly Hoban – Director of Human Resources
Ms. Kelly Hoban holds an M.B.A in Strategic Leadership from Amberton University located in Dallas, Texas. Her most recent position was Human Resource Director with Jackson Hewitt Tax Service. Ms. Hoban has acquired over ten years of HR management experience specializing in HR strategy, organizational development, management/leadership development, and high volume recruiting. She ensures that Doosan Hydro Technology's employees are provided quality internal support to best serve external customers. In order to manage the company's expected employee growth, Ms. Hoban will be attracting and retaining the best qualified people in the industry while recognizing and encouraging the value of diversity in the workplace.
John Huit – Senior Project Manager
Mr. John Huit is a successful, team-oriented construction manager with 17 years of experience managing and directing design and construction programs and projects. He has vast experience in port, marine and heavy civil design and construction projects. Experienced in both field and office management, including engineering design, construction management and supervision, quality assurance/control, staff recruitment and training, estimating, cost analysis & control and scheduling. Mr. Huit has managed multi-million dollar water and wastewater infrastructure projects for leading engineering and construction firms.
