Description of Project
Doosan Hydro Technology has been contracted to provide two systems: one a traditional seawater RO unit, and the other a Nanofiltration Seawater Prototype unit, both 150,000 gpd capacity. The NF prototype plant is built to an existing patented design created by the City of Long Beach Water Department. The City has received a grant to run a side-by-side demonstration of their Seawater Nanofiltration process compared to traditional SWRO process. Should the results be successful they will build a full scale plant in the future. Doosan Hydro Technology has supplied two skid mounted seawater systems complete with chemical feed, cartridge filters, high pressure feed pumps, local controls, energy recovery turbines, sample panels, and a CIP system. The Doosan systems can operate automatically and can be controlled remotely. Doosan Hydro Technology provided installation, testing, start-up and commissioning services and assistance.
