Seawater Reverse Osmosis

Seawater systems

Doosan is a world-class provider of seawater reverse osmosis desalination plants in a wide range of sizes. Doosan can provide full design, engineering, manufacturing, assembly, construction, installation, start-up and commissioning or full turnkey contract for seawater reverse osmosis plants that ranges in size from less than 1 to an excess of 100 million gallons per day capacity. Doosan’s seawater reverse osmosis plants are operating around the world producing pure water, serving cities and municipalities, industrial and manufacturing plants, hotels and resorts, military facilities, power plants, utilities and developers.

All Doosan SWRO plants are custom engineered to meet the flow and permeate quality our clients require. Our systems are manufactured using only those components and materials compatible with prolonged exposure to seawater. Doosan systems incorporate the most advanced and efficient pumps, energy recovery devices, membranes and controls available on the market today. Large scale plants can be site assembled and installed by Doosan or smaller systems packaged as skid or container mounted units for ease of installation and rapid start-up.

Doosan recognizes the importance of proper pre-treatment of sea water feeding reverse osmosis systems. As result of Doosan’s long experience in seawater desalination, we have developed in-house capabilities and expertise to design and build seawater pre-treatment systems to produce specific treated water quality from variety of raw water sources taking into account local site conditions or customer’s requirement. In addition, Doosan also provide post treatment systems such as remineralization and disinfection of the desalinated water to make it suitable for consumption.

The Doosan R&D group as well as its engineers, technicians and scientists are continuously looking for ways to improve the seawater RO system and services and stay ahead of the curve in the latest desalination technologies.
