Coral Springs Improvement Water Treatment Plants

Intrastate Construction Group awards Doosan Hydro Technology

Tampa, FL, June 3, 2009 – Intrastate Construction Group awarded Doosan Hydro Technology a contract to supply brackish water reverse osmosis (BWRO) trains for the new 6.75 MGD Coral Springs Improvement District Water Treatment Plant.

Florida utilities are facing the threat of drought and inadequate water supply sources. The Coral Springs Improvement District Water Treatment Plant will allow the District to lessen the burden of water restrictions and improve water quality through membrane technology. Membrane treatment has gained mainstream acceptance and is the preferred treatment technology for surface and ground waters.

Doosan Hydro Technology will provide the procurement, fabrication, delivery, installation supervision, start-up and performance testing and operator training for three (3) 2.25 RO trains and a RO membrane pilot system. The Project will be operational late 2010.
