The Doosan Hydro Technology Modular Package Sewage Treatment Plants (STP) are designed to treat a variety of raw sewage from various sources and reduce Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) loading to meet numerous regulatory agencies’ mandated discharge parameters.

The Package STP utilizes extended aeration process which provides sufficient oxygen levels and mixing to allow microorganisms to breakdown the organic impurities in the raw sewage. An STP features a five-step treatment process to achieve the desired final discharge quality: screening, diffused aeration, clarification, sludge recirculation and disinfection.

The standard Doosan Hydro Technology package STP is constructed of welded carbon steel, interior and exterior lined suitable for above and below ground installation. Package sewage treatment plant mechanical and electrical equipment can be supplied for installation in concrete tanks.

Treated Sewage Quality

The Doosan Hydro Technology package STP produces treated effluent with 20 mg/L BOD and 30 mg/L suspended solids. Tertiary treatment is an extra option provided by Doosan Hydro Technology to improve the treated sewage quality. Equipment can be provided to achieve 10/10 standards for irrigation. Further advanced wastewater treatment (AWT) can produce appropriate water quality for recycling and high quality effluent for reuse.

Plant Capacities

The Doosan Hydro Technology package STP are available in standard range of 5,000 gallons/day (20 m3/day) to 100,000 gallons/day (378 m3/day) treatment capacity per module. Larger Package Sewage Treatment plants beyond the standard range of capacity are also available by combining multiple package modules or in circular configuration in steel or concrete tank construction.
